Can be added to the drinking water or given as an oral drench for up to 4 days. Prepare a 12% stock solution by adding one packet SMZ-Med 454 to one gallon water. Day 1: give 3 oz. prepared solution per 100 lbs. body weight. Days 2-4: give 1 1/2 oz. prepared solution per 100 lbs. body weight. (Each pint of prepared solution treats approximately 500 lbs. on Day 1, or approximately 1000 lbs. on Days 2, 3, or 4.) Each packet treats approximately eight-500 lb. animals on Day 1, or approximately sixteen-500 lb. animals on Days 2, 3, or 4. Also labeled for use in swine, chickens, and turkeys.
Pennchlor 64 Soluble Powder contains the broad spectrum antibiotic chlortetracycline. Pennchlor 64 is used in the drinking water of calves, swine, chickens, and turkeys. Also for the prevention of ulcerative colitis in growing quail. Each 4.1 oz. pack contains 51.2 g bacitracin, equivalent to 200 g bacitracin per lb. For swine, one pack will medicate approximately 50 gallons of water. Not for use in swine weighing more than 250 lbs.
A 324 gm/lb. tetracycline hydrochloride soluble powder for use in the control and treatment of bacterial enteritis (scours) caused by E. coli and bacterial pneumonia associated with Pasteurella spp., Actinobacillius pleuropneumoniae, and Klebsiella spp. Mix in drinking water according to label directions. Each ounce will medicate approximately 32 gallons of water.
