Each 10 ml of Chondroprotec contains 1000 mg polysulfated glycosaminoglycan. Chondroprotec is indicated for use in the treatment of secreting and bleeding dermal lesions, first and second degree burns, trauma injuries, pressure ulcers, Venous Statis ulcers, donor sites and partial and full thickness wounds. Betagen Topical Spray is used for the treatment of infected superficial lesions in dogs. Betagen Topical Spray contains gentamicin sulfate and betamethasone valerate. Each ml of Betagen Topical Spray contains gentamicin sulfate, USP equivalent to 0.57 mg gentamicin base, and betamethasone valerate, USP equivalent to 0.284 mg betamethasone. Mitaban is an insecticide for the treatment of generalized demodicocis (mange) in dogs. Mitaban contains amitraz. Mix entire 10.6 ml bottle of Mitaban with 2 gallons water. Larger dogs may require treatment with two bottles Mitaban per four gallons water. The entire animal should be topically treated by thoroughly and completely wetting with Mitaban mixture, and then allowed to air dry. Do not rinse or towel dry the dog after treatment. Three to six topical treatments, 14 days apart, are recommended for treatment of generalized demodicosis. Approved for dogs four months of age and older. Amitraz.
KetoHex Shampoo is an antiseborrheic shampoo for the management of skin conditions responsive to ketoconazole or chlorhexidine. Provides antiseptic, antifungal, and cleansing properties. KetoHex Shampoo reduces the adhesion of bacteria and yeast to the skin, which may reduce skin irritation. KetoHex Shampoo may be used on dogs, cats, and horses. Chlorhexidine gluconate 2% and ketoconazole 1%.
Muricin Ointment 2% is used in the treatment of canine bacterial skin infections, including superficial pyoderma. Each gram of Muricin Ointment contains 20 mg mupirocin, a broad spectrum antibiotic. Apply topically to the affected area twice a day. Treatment should not exceed 30 days.
Tresaderm aids in the treatment of certain bacterial, mycotic and inflammatory skin infections and otitis externa (ear infections) in dogs and cats. Both acute and chronic forms of these conditions respond to treatment with Tresaderm. Each ml of Tresaderm contains 40 mg thiabendazole, 1 mg dexamethasone and 3.2 mg neomycin. Prior to the administration of Tresaderm, remove the ceruminous, purulent or foreign materials from the ear canal, as well as the crust which may be associated with dermatoses affecting other parts of the body. Depending on the severity of the condition, 5 to 15 drops should be instilled in the ear twice daily. In treating dermatoses affecting other than the ear, the surface of the lesions should be well moistened (2 to 4 drops per square inch) with Tresaderm twice daily. The volume required will be dependent upon the size of the lesion. Application of Tresaderm should be limited to a period of not longer than one week. Thiabendazole, dexamethasone and neomycin.
Sebozole Medicated Shampoo is indicated for dermatological conditions associated with infections responsive to miconazole nitrate and chloroxylenol. Cortisoothe Shampoo is indicated for the temporary relief of inflammation and itching associated with corticosteroid-response skin conditions including atopy and flea bite dermatitis in dogs, cats, and horses. Cortisoothe is a colloidal oatmeal shampoo containing 1% hydrocortisone. Apply to a wet coat, rub into skin, and lather. Wait 5-10 minutes and rinse well. Genesis Topical Spray is indicated for the control of itching associated with allergic dermatitis in dogs. Genesis Topical Spray contains 0.015% triamcinolone acetonide, a highly potent synthetic glucocorticoid and anti-inflammatory. Apply sufficient pump sprays to uniformly and thoroughly wet the affected areas. The typical administration is twice daily for 7 days, once daily for the next 7 days, then every other day for 14 more days. Resicort Leave-On Lotion is an antipruritic, anti-inflammatory to help relieve skin conditions in dogs, cats, and horses. It contains 1% hydrocortisone in a unique Spherulite encapsulated delivery system to provide a slow release of ingredients long after product application. After shampooing or wetting the hair coat, apply a sufficient amount of lotion to cover the entire hair coat along the back of the animal. Massage Resicort Leave-On Lotion well into the skin and hair coat. Apply more as needed. May be used in localized areas or generally between shampoos. Use 2 to 3 times per week for 2 weeks, then as directed. Hydrocortisone.
