This "schooling" headstall is made of durable nylon. While nylon is not as impervious to abuse as beta, these nylon headstalls are quite serviceable and will provide years of use with proper care. Medium (Horse/cob) size measures 31"-43" across the headstall and 19" -23" across the noseband.

      Best purchase I ever made for my horse! My horse responds well and it has helped alot with head tossing while riding! LOVE this bridle. no need for a bit ever again.

      I bought this nylon bitless bridle for my quiet, older mare. I felt that she was quiet and obedient enough that we did not need a bit anymore. She took to it immediately. I put it on her and we went for a trail ride. She did not seem to notice the difference and neither did I. There was no retraining needed. I wish now that I spent more for the leather version because I am sure it looks nicer. But this nylon one is sturdy and will last a long time. It was stiff at first, but it is already starting to soften.

      I bought this for a 26 year old semi-retired paint mare. She's only ridden bareback now and enjoys her time on a trail course or just haviing a walk about. She loves it and so do I!

      I've read a lot about bitless bridles, but I didn't want to sink a lot of money into one. This one is very nice and light-weight for the price. I was disappointed that it's a little too snug for my average-size horse, but it does fit my smaller horse - which wears a cob-size bridle. So far I've used it only a couple times, but it seems like it's going to be a good product. I do wish it had some more adjustability, though.

      I now own four of them. I have found that they work on all kinds of horses including my 17 hands Thoroughbred who was very difficult to ride with a bit. I have trained all my horses to use young and old alike. There is only one problem with them. And are strong and easy to care for them. There is one problem they are not long enough for horse with a longer head than 21 inches

      My 6-yr old TWH has never willingly accepted a bit, no matter what I've tried in the past, including ruling out any dental issues. I introduced Dr. Cook's Bitless Bridle this past weekend and immediately saw a change in his behavior. More focused, no constant chewing (obviously), and more relaxed than I've seen him in a long time. Our first training session w/ this bridle ended with us BOTH still in a good mood!
