Been using these for years and love them!I have standard poodles and have found these boots to be the best product I could ask for to protect their feet when they have an injury. These are great boots: light, very easy to fasten securely, wear like iron, and my dogs have never minded them. We live in the Sierra Nevada foothills in California and walk in rough terrain. Even though they aren't waterproof, they are wonderful at protecting a combination of materials that are waterproof (e.g., I put a bandaged foot into a surgical glove, then put a sandwich sized ziplock bag over that, then put a bread wrapper over that and secure it around the dog's leg with paper tape, then put the whole thing into one of these boots and it keeps all the more fragile materials from shredding and letting moisture through). Even the cleverest of my dogs can't get these boots off, so I use them to protect paws from the dog with real confidence and can sleep all night in the knowledge that sore places and bandages are completely protected.

Nylon Dog BootsI bought these to protect a paw that was in a splint. It successfully kept the dog from chewing at the dressing. It was not, however, totally waterproof.

Great! These boots work perfectly for my two dogs. Neither one of them particularly enjoys having boots put on so I need a wide opening so it's not such a struggle to slip over the paw, dew claw, etc. The opening on these is NICE and wide and then the velcro is a breeze to tighten as much as needed around the ankle and they stay on. I think the bright orange embarrasses my dogs (lol) and traction is non-existent so there has been some slipping and sliding, but these do the trick to protect their paws from ice, snow, and salt better than any of the more "fashionable", small-opening, dog boots that are either impossible to put on or don't stay on.

These dog boots are simple and workWe've bought 2 sets of these, and they work as well or better than more expensive, boots with more features. They've been easier to put on and more likely to stay on than other boots, and the dogs walk a bit more normally in them. Traction is a problem, as these have no treads, but the boots with rubber traction pads did not fit/stay on. We have not had to use duct tape to keep them on, but we're not hunting the coonhounds or other dogs when they are wearing them. Mostly used in bitter weather to keep the dogs' feet from getting too cold while we're out walking. We have a collection of at least 5 other kinds of more expensive dog boots that did not work as well.
