Kidney-Chek for Dogs from SN Biomedical is a user-friendly, saliva-based test which allows you to screen your dog’s kidney health at home between annual wellness exams, allowing for timely intervention and the specialized care your dog deserves. Preventative screening is always a good idea especially if your dog is at risk of undiagnosed kidney disease. Early detection of kidney disease paired with a veterinarian's treatment plan can extend your dog's lifespan and ensure they are not suffering. Kidney-Chek was created for dogs who are 7 years of age or older, are on pain-management medication (e.g. NSAIDs), do not see a vet for annual wellness exams, are showing signs of kidney problems, are a breed with an increased risk of kidney disease, or have a disorder which increases the risk of chronic kidney disease. Directions: Rub the Kidney-Chek test strip on dog’s gums for 5-10 seconds until thoroughly wet. Set a timer for precisely 2 minutes and wait. Read the test immediately using the color scoring.
