Magic Cushion Hoof Packing is an anti-inflammatory and analgesic hoof packing designed to reduce concussion, pain and trauma within the hoof. Proven to provide relief from the everyday rigors of training, abscesses, laminitis, white line disease, pedal osteitis, navicular syndrome, bruising, corns, canker and any concussive trauma to the hoof tissues. Magic Cushion is ideal for use after a workout or before and on each day of an athletic event or competition. Magic Cushion is a natural product and is not a cause for concern during any drug testing. May be used under a protective hoof pad or applied to the hoof and secured with a simple wrap.

      A friend suggested I try this for my elderly pony who has a history of founder. He has a problem with gunk getting stuck in the deep groves in his hooves around his frog which ends up causing him pain and to have thrush. Although it is quite messy (gloves are a must) it was easy to apply and Bucky didn't seem to mind at all. I wrapped his hooves with vet wrap and turned him loose. The wraps stayed in place much longer than I expected and the benefits lasted well after I removed the wraps. I will be using this again!

      I purchased this product for my farrier he uses it on all my horses and it is especially good for my pony who has equine metabolic syndrome.

      This works as described but is very difficult to handle. It is very sticky.

      It's a good product, but I can get the same results by using Living Clay mixed with apple cider vinegar, Epsom salt and DMSO in a Davis medicine boot. The clay is 9.7 pH and will naturally kill any living microorganism, bind toxins, reduce inflammation and be a topical analgesic for less money.

      Yes, it is definitely sticky and smells like pine tar. Applying and covering it with a duct tape wrap didn't stay on an unshod horse. So then, I put some old Cavello boots over it after application. Left them on overnight and the next morning after the horse had lain down the hoof packing had oozed out on the back of her coronet area and on her elbows where It touched. Tried alcohol to remove it, but it took a week or so to wear off. Good thing she's not a show horse.

      Seems to have a pain reducing ingredient and moisturizes very well.. (used with a diaper around the hoof). Because of that moisturizing I don't recommend it being left on more than a couple days.

      even tho my order of Magic Cushion was delayed a day because of weather, I received it quickly. The product is wonderful. My horse had been very lame because my hoof trimmer had cut all four of her frogs off for some reason and this product gave her instant relief.
