Soft Ride Bareback Western Saddle Pad

I just recently purchased the Mustang bareback saddle and I love it. Because I'm a trail rider it could be improved on by having some place to tie things to but I have managed. I rode in it for almost 4 hours and was amazed at how good I felt. I bought it because I'm tired of throwing the heavy saddle on my horses. This is perfect. I don't know how good it is for my horses but so far no complaints from them.

I bought this a month ago and it didn't fit my horse at all. It bridges across the back and the stirrups are hard to adjust. I returned it and are waiting for a refund.

I bought this saddle because I wanted a little more support than just riding bareback. It is the most comfortable item for me and my horse. Very lightweight and cool on hot days. It fits well on my hard to fit horse. So happy I made this purchase!

I bought this saddle for my Quarter Gelding I just got about 3 weeks ago. He has not been ridden for about 1 1/2 years and has no muscle along his back as well as a high wither. The saddle offers much more stability for me and on my horse's back than I expected, while fitting itself perfect to the horse shape. I thought I would sink in the saddle, no- its not pillow like as I thought. Not as hard as a 'real' saddle of course, but still firm. I have a non- slip pad under it and would not hesitate to take it out on trail rides, when going up and down hills etc. I do not know how it would stay on the horse with a different pad though. When I first bought the saddle, the plan was to keep it until my horse gains enough muscle to handle a tree western saddle, at the moment I feel we are going to be happy with it for as long as it lasts us. I ride every day, so we will see how that goes. The little 'Mother Mary, help!' string on the front of the saddle to hold on to when the horse bucks I guess, is much more stable than it looks, even though it has to be bushed as far to the front of the saddle as possible to not be in the way uncomfortably. The stirrups are better than they seem as well, I don't care much for the cheap plastic look but they are good enough, some more weight would make it easier for an unexperienced rider or a rider with wobbly legs, but its easy enough to change them. The weight of the saddle is minimal, which is great since everything else in the horse world is heavy enough; when you don't cinch up like a wrestler which you should not do anyway, the saddle still sits good and won't wobble around. I'd buy it again, likely when this one falls apart.

Super comfy- soft like a couch. Love the lightweight, soft seat & hose clean. I use a profesionals choice girth ( to my suprise) the mustang stays pretty secure on my mutton backed mare & other horses. Not a substitute for a saddle if you wish to school, I ride dressage & this puts you in a different position- SUPER for trails and fun, though.

My mare has a problem with a sore shoulder from traditional western flex tree saddles. I decided to either try a treeless or a bareback pad with stirrups. This fit both ideas. My mare loves it. I'm really glad I tried this product. I have used it on several trail rides and it is really good. It stayed in place better with a breast collar, otherwise it had a tendency to slide back a bit.

I bought this Mustang bareback pad for a quick throw on for short rides. I ended up using it for my mare after weaning my foal and what a great decision. This pad gives the support and comfort of a saddle for me, with a lightweight style. I added a breast collar to assist with support. No rear cinch to bind movement for her swollen udder. I am using this pad every day to condition her, and after not riding her for a year, I can honestly say she hasn't been sore one day. We are up to 5-6 hour rides, and I am happy to say it's the best purchase I've made in a long while!

This soft saddle is super light, fits any horse, and is very comfortable for both me and my mares. When I feel like going for a quick ride, but don't want to tack up all my regular gear, but want more than bareback, I go with this saddle. No pad needed. Stays in place. Can just rinse off. Well worth the price. Just a bit more than a good bareback pad, but with so much more!

I bought this product a month ago for my 16.3hh Thoroughbred which has high withers. In the past when cinching up he would get "testy". But now when I cinch this saddle up, he stands quietly!! When riding I feel more in contact with him as well. Great buy for the price.

Awesome!! Very comfortable , great for my draft horse. I use this instead of lugging around heavy saddles now. This is all I need. Time to sell the saddles!

I wanted a bareback saddle that I could have a bit of support from something like a horn just in case and this one does that for me. It is really a nice riding saddle, doesn't slip and is very comfortable for me and my horse.

I bought this because I have tailbone pain, and I have to admit, it is SOFT. I really like the shaped cantle - we trail ride in rough terrain and the shaped cantle adds security. I used a neoprene cinch and breast collar and did not have any issue with slippage. The stirrups that come with it are wide at the base, great for long rides. I did move the stirrup straps forward to the rigging ring because I ride an aussie saddle and am used to riding with my legs forward. This worked great for me. Really pleased with this bareback pad/saddle.
