Sturdy steel construction with powder coated finish. Base is # 9 expanded metal to provide a sturdy platform and allow debris to fall through. Comes with headpiece that adjusts up and down from 9 1/2" to 24" tall to accommodate a wide range of animals. Top of headpiece adjusts from a width of 1" to 11" to secure animal's head. Also comes with feed ring and heavy duty rubber 2 quart feed pan that adjusts to desired level. Completely collapsible for easy handling and storage. 20" wide x 49" long x 16 1/2" tall.

      I purchased this folding goat/sheep stand after a recent farm visit from my veterinarian. We were both tired of aching backs from trimming hooves & vaccinations! I did some research, & loved all the features of this stand! It is a snap to assemble; sturdy; easy to use & LOVE the feed bucket feature! Most of all, our backs don't ache!

      I had hoped to make my own stanchion, but with too many other farm projects, I punted and started pricing them online. I am very happy with this stanchion so far, I like that it can fold for easy storage and the attached bowl makes hoof trimming a one-person job.

      This is a great stanchion. Unfortunately it was missing the bolt for the bottom to hold the legs from folding over, but no big deal, i had extras laying around. The head piece is not large enough to fit my boer buck that has horns, but fits all my other boer goats, no problem. (The grain bucket keeps him entertained enough that he doesn't need his head locked in) Solid and easy to move. Very pleased with my purchase.

      like the stand but is heavy and tall. will not hold small Nubian kids but as a milk stand the only problem is the height for the doe to jump. the height is good sitting while milking so just needs a ramp.

      I'm new to goat milking and this stand has made it so easy. The stand is very sturdy. It can fold up, but it isn't really designed to be portable. The bar holds my goats head securely and the feeding pan keeps her, mostly, distracted. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

      I bought this a little over a month ago and it has been just great! It is just what you need and want in a stanchion. It is sturdy, practical in design, and looks nice too! If anything, it could maybe be a little wider but it really isn't bad at all. I hope this lasts a long time because it is a great product and I will continue to use it daily!

      I have used this three times since my purchase and have found it to be well constructed and very useful. It does not close small enough to secure my mini nubians, so I have to tether them in addition to the supplied method, but it does work perfectly for my boers. Quickly delivered, easy assembly.

      I bought the milk stand in February and by May the platform was breaking and welds were breaking. I tried to contact Valley Vet Supply to see if there was any kind of guarantee or warranty and I never heard a thing from them. Very disappointing. Thankfully I have a handy husband and he fixed it by welding some extra steel on to strengthen it and fixed the broken welds. I thought I was buying something that would last forever only to find out it was not worth the almost $300 I spent.

      i like everything about it except the feed pan that came with it....it does not stay in, it falls through the holder, i am in the process of trying to find something else to fit it....and the feed pan does not hold much grain....other than that all is good.
