Bradoon Horse Bit

The Horze Bradoon Bit featuring a traditional single jointed mouthpiece exerts pressure on the horse's tongue and bars when the reins are used. This bit offers smaller loose ring bradoon cheekpieces to encourage self carriage in the horse. When sizing a bradoon bit, an extra 1/4" to 1/8" should be added to your horse's normal bit sizing to provide extra room for the inclusion of the Weymouth. This bit is competition legal for most upper-level dressage classes. Thickness: 14mm. Pair a Weymouth bit with the Horze Bradoon Bit for a complete double bridle.

When measuring the bit size, always measure the length from the inside of one bit ring (or cheek) to the inside of the opposite one. Make sure the bit is straightened. The thickness of the bit is always measured just inside the bit ring. When placed in the horse's mouth, there should be maximum of 5mm (1/4") play on either side of the bit.
