Jointed Loose Ring Snaffle Horse Bit

The Horze Jointed Loose Ring Snaffle Bit is a practical everyday bit that is accepted by most horses and legal for most disciplines. Featuring a simple single jointed mouthpiece, this bit collapses onto the horse's tongue and bars offering basic control. The addition of loose ring style cheekpieces adds additional play and movement to the bit, decreasing the the ability of the horse to lean and brace against the rider's hands. Bit guards (sold separately) may be added for additional protection for the horse's lips. Stainless steel. 16mm thickness. 65mm rings in sizes 4.5-5.75", 55mm rings in sizes 3.75-4".

When measuring the bit size, always measure the length from the inside of one bit ring (or cheek) to the inside of the opposite one. Make sure the bit is straightened. The thickness of the bit is always measured just inside the bit ring. When placed in the horse's mouth, there should be maximum of 5 mm (1/4") play on either side of the bit.
