Universal Animal Antidote
For oral dosing as an aid in treating poisoning by most organic chemicals in large and small animals.
Activated Hardwood Charcoal 120 mg/ml
Kaolin 60 mg/ml
In a base containing magnesium aluminum silicate, preservatives, water Q.S.
INDICATIONS: USE AS AN AID FOR EMERGENCY TREATMENT OF POISONING OF CATTLE, HORSES, GOATS, DOGS, CATS CAUSED BY ORAL INGESTION OF ORGANIC CHEMICALS SUCH AS PESTICIDES.
RECOMMENDED DOSAGE: If animal is conscious and able to swallow, give recommended dosage as follows: 1 to 3 ml/kg (2.2lb) of body weight. If indicated, or necessary, repeat the dosage of UAA Gel after 1 to 4 hours or until symptoms subsides. For cattle or horses, it is recommended that the animal be given 10 oz. (300 ml) of UAA Gel, with appropriate follow up doses at 8 hour intervals. Proper supportive therapies such as parenteral fluids and injectable antidotes, as indicate to counteract the physiological effects of the poison, are recommended as part of the treatment. If necessary, a comatose or refractory animal may be dosed by a dose syringe or stomach tube.
WARNING: UAA GEL MAY NOT BE EFFECTIVE AGAINST POISONING BY MERCURY, OTHER HEAVY METALS, OR INORGANIC ARSENIC.
