The Best Friend™ Standard Grazing Muzzle must be used with a leather or breakaway halter. Loop the four straps over the noseband and chin strap of a leather or breakaway halter and fasten.  Then slide the metal rings up, over the velcro system.  The amount of breakaway resistance can be reduced by moving the end of the strap farther out of the velcro split, and/or by not moving the metal ring over the velcro.
