Livestock Whitening Powder

By Weaver Leather

Show day product for achieving a uniform white appearance on hair and hide.

Livestock Whitening Powder is formulated for sheep and goats that are clipped or shorn and ready for the show ring, but could use some improvement to their underlying hide color and/or surface hair.  Whether pink hide is showing through or dark pigmented spots are visible, this powder is the solution for giving your animal’s hide and/or hair a uniform, bright white appearance.  It’s also great for softening the animal’s hide and hair for a fresh feeling that’s ideal to the touch.

Directions: Shake well before using as powder can settle during storage and reduce effectiveness.  Prior to entering the show ring, apply to a clean, clipped or shorn animal in light, even coats where additional white enhancement is desired.  Product goes slightly wet and clear but whitens as it dries.  We recommend 2 to 3 coats, allowing drying time in between each coat.  Multiple layers may be necessary to achieve the desired whitening effect.  Brush in powder using a soft bristled brush for a natural look between coats once it’s dry.  A light conditioner or oil like ProPolish/ProCharge mix can be added on top of whitening powder to give a more natural look and added shine.  Leave in or wash out after showing.
