MastoBlast for Mastitis in Livestock

I have used it on a ewe that had developed mastitis and am very pleased with the results. I would recommend it.

I am always surprised at how well this works especially considering that it looks like water! But it works really well at lowering the somatic cell counts on our dairy herd. Just put it in the water or on the feed twice a day and it will do what it claims!

I have used this on both my family milk cows. If used with mastoblast cream I have had great success. Still had to milk them out frequently, but once they got over it it was gone for good. Worked when the antibiotic infusion wouldn't.

After some frostbite and other stresses, my family cow has had a bad winter struggling with mastitis flare ups. I use intra-mammary antibiotics, dump the milk, it clears up, and mastitis is back a month later. It starts with one quarter milking some 'chunks', but if I don't treat all, I seem to chase it round-robin, no matter how I disinfect, clean, sanitize hands, wipes and use fresh dip. So I gave Mastoblast a try. At the earliest sign of a flare up I started administering the product. My cow is a sweetheart, but she HATED the stuff, which smells like strong alcohol. Squirting it on her nose didn't work, she would sneeze, shake, rub it off. Hiding it in food - no way. I had to wrestle with her and squirt it into her mouth. She began to run from me, so twice a day (at milking time) I had an aggravated fearful cow... with worsening mastitis! When the mastitis got bad I went back to antibiotics, dumping milk, and after I quit torturing my cow with Mastoblast, we are ok, she's good for a time. Other than the cow hating Mastoblast and me wasting money, I could not find a benefit from Mastoblast. It did not work for us.

This did not work for my doe. Dissappointed. Will be milking her out yet again

We bought this in the event that our cow might need it someday and although we haven't used it yet, it comes highly recommended by our friends that have a family cow also.
