Revolution for Dogs

Revolution for Dogs is a monthly topical solution to control fleas, flea eggs, heartworms, ear mites, sarcoptic mange and ticks. Revolution for Dogs kills adult fleas, prevents flea eggs from hatching for one month and is indicated for the prevention and control of flea infestations, for the prevention of heartworm disease, for treatment and control of ear mite infestations, for treatment and control of sarcoptic mange and for control of tick infestations. Revolution for Dogs contains selamectin. Apply topically once per month. Approved for use in dogs 6 weeks of age and older. Selamectin.

Each tube of Purple contains 0.25 ml (30mg) selamectin.
Each tube of Brown contains 0.50 ml (60mg) selamectin.
Each tube of Red contains 1.0 ml (120 mg) selamectin.
Each tube of Teal contains 2.0 ml (240 mg) selamectin.
Each tube of Plum contains 3.0 ml (360 mg) selamectin.

How it works:
Revolution for Dogs contains selamectin, which is absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream. It kills fleas, prevents heartworm disease, controls ticks, and treats and controls ear mites and sarcoptic mange. Revolution for Dogs prevents flea eggs from hatching for one month, to prevent reinfestation.

What you should know:
Revolution for Dogs is for dogs 6 weeks of age and older. Your dog should be tested for heartworm infections prior to use.

How to give this medication:
Firmly press the cap down to puncture the seal on the Revolution tube. To apply Revolution, part the hair on dog’s back, at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades, until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze the tube 3 or 4 times to empty its entire contents directly onto the skin in one spot. Give this medication exactly as directed by your veterinarian. If you do not understand the directions, ask the veterinarian or pharmacist to explain them to you.

If you miss a dose:
If you miss a dose, give it as soon as you remember. Do not double dose.

Revolution for Dogs should not be used in:
Revolution for Dogs is not recommended for dogs that are under 6 weeks of age.

Possible side effects:
Some patients may exhibit reactions, including irritation or temporary hair loss at the application site, salivation, decreased appetite, lethargy, vomiting and muscle tremors. If you observe any of these side effects, contact your veterinarian as soon as possible.
