These are NOT electronic identification (EID) tags. 840 USDA tags are compliant with USDA animal traceability requirements, may be used for interstate commerce, and are required at some shows, fairs, and auctions. Your farm premise ID number is assigned to the tag number series being shipped to you, and the information is held in the NAIS database. Unique 840 series numbers are printed at the top of each tag. Tag numbers and imprints are printed with permanent no-fade laser print marking. Apply with Y-Tex Ultra Tagger Plus for EID & Tamperproof Tags.
