Excede for Cattle and Horses

Excede Sterile Suspension is an antibiotic indicated for the treatment of bovine respiratory disease (BRD), foot rot, and for the control of respiratory disease in cattle at high risk for developing BRD. Excede is also indicated for the treatment of lower respiratory tract infections in horses. Excede by Zoetis is the first and only FDA-approved antibiotic for horses that offers a full course of therapy in just two doses. Reduce the treatment time and reduce the stress of a sick animal.

Each ml of Excede Sterile Suspension contains the ceftiofur crystalline-free acid equivalent to 200 mg ceftiofur. The usual dosage for cattle is 1.5 ml per 100 lbs body weight, given by subcutaneous injection. Horses usually receive 2 doses, 4 days apart, at the rate of 1.5 ml per 100 lbs. of body weight, given by intramuscular (IM) injection. Administer per label instructions. Ready-to-use suspension.
