I bought this de-icer in a 500 watt size because I only have one horse with a 20 gallon bucket. I have to say this de-icer is great. It can be used to float or sink to the bottom of the bucket. The second I placed it into the bottom of my 20 gallon bucket, it worked perfectly, keeping the water at the perfect temperature. No more need for breaking ice.
