Our Veterinarians & Founders

Before we founded Valley Vet Supply in 1985, procuring medications for animals was a cumbersome task. We saw it first-hand, as our friends, family and neighbors were challenged with giving their animals the medications and care they needed the most.

So, with no better time than the present, we founded Valley Vet Supply to make ordering a breeze and at a fair price for customers. For more than 30 years, we have been proud to serve you and the animals you care for.

Learn more about our veterinarians and founders, Drs. Arnold Nagely and Ray Shultz.

Arnold Nagely, DVM

Arnold Nagely, DVM Dr. Nagely graduated from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, he enlisted as an officer in the United States Air Force where he was the veterinarian at Suffolk County Air Force Base in Westhampton Beach, New York, caring for military family pets and service dogs. After the Air Force, he and his family moved to the Marysville community where he helped open the Valley Vet Clinic, soon to be joined in practice by his current partner (and co-founder of Valley Vet Supply), Dr. Ray Shultz. In 2018, the community of Marysville, Kansas awarded Dr. Nagely with Business Person of the year. Dr. Nagely enjoys traveling with his family. One of their most memorable trips took them to the beaches of Normandy, France.

Ray Shultz, DVM

Ray Shultz, DVM Dr. Shultz graduated from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and soon, his veterinary profession took him to Marysville, Kansas, where he joined his current partner (and fellow co-founder of Valley Vet Supply), Dr. Nagely. Together, they shared the vision of building a company to better serve pet and livestock owners. And in 1985, they founded Valley Vet Supply-today's dedicated source for all things horse, livestock and pet. Always on the go, Dr. Shultz enjoys historic restoration and construction projects. Recently, his preservation efforts breathed life back into the historic Isis movie theater, built in 1912, as well as an 1884 vintage one-room stone school house located in northern Riley County.
