Poor quaulity

The Starbar Bite Free Fly Trap is a very poorly designed product. Â I couldn't even get it out of the box! Â I had to tear the box all the way down to the bottom to get the trap out. Â It was stuck to the box and getting it out meant pulling the trap apart in the process. Â Trying to get it back together was nearly impossible. Â It is so flimsy that it falls apart with the slightest bump. Â I can't hang it up as it is meant to do. Â The only positive thing I have to say, is it did trap some flies.. Wildlife Warning on Box is for Real!!

The product box has a warning to keep this trap away from pets and wildlife (difficult when you live in the country). The Bite Free Stable Fly Trap I put out caught a songbird (Eastern phoebe)! Fortunately, I found the little bird before it had expired and was able to pull it off the trap. It lost several wing and tail feathers and had quite a bit of residual glue on its body. The bird flew away, but I'm not convinced it was ultimately able to survive. Make sure you place the traps far away from bird houses, feeders and water sources. Is this testimonial helpful?

This trap really works. I put one in front of the barn entrance and probably caught around 1,000 bull dog flies. I don't think I could fit too many more on there, but they are big flies. It made such a dent I got another one, and now we hardly have any flies around, at least not the big biters. I'll definately get some more of these next year! Is this testimonial helpful?

I look for non-toxic fly control methods and this item really meets my requirements. Yes, it will attract other insects as well but I don't mind if a hornet gets stuck on it.... I rarely see other bugs on them but I also make sure I do not place it near flowers which attracts butterflies etc. Normally, I place it near where the horse eat their hay which has made a HUGE difference in our fly population. If you use fly-predators, make sure not to spread them near this trap for obvious reasons. Is this testimonial helpful?

I have posted these traps at the entrance of each door to the barn, tack room, and house. Horses, dogs, and cats do not bother with them. But the bugs are attracted. Stable flies, house flies, gnats, yellow jackets, even Japanese beetles. A few 'good guys' like a dragon fly and a honey bee were also trapped. I highly recommend them! Is this testimonial helpful?
