The item description did not include the size of the clamp. Â Turns out it was too small to fit around the hook inside my trailer that I tie my horse too. Â I would have thought that these were standard sizes. Â I was very disappointed. Â I sent the package back today and to ad insult to injury it cost almost $9 to return it. Â I think Valley Vet should pay the return shipping. Â Is this testimonial helpful?

My horse doesn't normally suck/pull back when tied, but has 3-4 times in the cross ties over the 17 years I've owned him... luckily I have been able to talk him back and he has never broke free so therefore has never learned that he can (which can start a really bad habit). Been hauling close to 20 years and broke a serious rule: dropped the butt bar before unhooking his head. He backed out like clockwork, and stretched this tie all the way out the back door. Being behind the trailer (and alone) I could not pull the quick release up top... which I'm glad. Better yet, he remained calm due to the give in it and I was able to push him back in and get the butt bar back up. The interior of the tie is now exposed, basically about a hundred rubber bands (2 diff. kinds) and the nylon is completely separated, but it did NOT break with 1200 lbs of force in about 10 ft of distance... BUT (more importantly) it would have if he kept going, and best of all the quick release end would not have been attached posing a danger to his face. So once again he pulled, but did not break free, and remained calm due to the give. So he still doesn't know he can leave if he wants! Is this testimonial helpful?
