Our herd dog got stepped on by a cow and blew out a pad and had a nasty jagged lasceration on her paw. We used this tape along with some gauze and it stayed on great. She's not a city dog so that's saying a lot. She never pulled it off and it didn't fall off even with an active dog. Is this testimonial helpful?

I have used vetrap before and you usually have to change the bandage everyday because they wont stay on. My vet told be to use the Elasikon. It stays on, it is a bit more expensive but not if your having to keep putting the vetrap back on. My horse had 2 injuries one on the knee and one about 4' above the knee. The Elastikon easily stayed on the 3 days between bandageing with very little slipage. It is breatable and you don't have to wrap it as tight so at a joint your horse has more flex. Elastikon is perfect to use with Vetrap on leg wounds. It holds the vetrap in place and keeps it from riding up or sliding down the leg. It sticks to the horse without pulling when you take it off. I've used vetrap with elastikon at the top and bottom of the wrap on my mare's front legs and it stays in place even when turned out 24/7. It even stays in place in wet weather. If you use vetrap I would highly recommend having a few rolls of elastikon around too. Is this testimonial helpful?
