If you go on long trail rides, these are the saddle bags you want. My husband ordered these for us for a local large trail ride. When we got them I couldn't believe the features on these things!
Theres places for all sorts of stuff, they tie down super secure to the saddle, you can clip your jacket or a picnic blanket onto the back. Pretty amazing.
If I had to come up with a negative about them, it was the tiny little white bottles, but who cares about those? I took them out and put in my own water bottles anyway.
Anyway, if you trail ride an like taking food and drinks, or carry a bunch of stuff; THESE are what you want! Is this testimonial helpful?

I have these but in a different color. Overall I'm very pleased with the design and the space, along with the possiblities for organization. There are many pockets and compartments so it's easy to keep things separated and easy to find. My only complaint, is that they are pretty big and do get heavy. I went for a long, 7 hour ride:
Pros: 1. kept sandwich & water cool 2. lots of space 3. great little compartments for odds and ends (like when the Chicago screws fell out of my bridle mid canter! It was easy to find my zip ties..). Cons: 1. mounting - trying to swing your leg up and over without hitting them 2. dismounting - trying to get your leg back over without dragging them down 3. weight - they flop a bit when cantering. For the person who wants to always be prepared, or the person who rides long and hard, these are great. If you're just a "weekend warrior" going on an hour long ride, you probalby wouldn't need these. Is this testimonial helpful?
