I purchased these boots because I needed another set of boots for my 2nd horse. What I like about these boots is they are more light weight than the previous SMB Elite boots. I just received the Ventech Elite 4 pack yesterday. Although I have other leg wraps I haven't been using them because of our 90 to 100 degree heat. I decided to try the Ventechs out on a familiar mountain trail. Another rider didn't want to take the time to boot up her horse and when we came back to the trailer her horse was holding up a rear leg because he had an inch and a half long by quarter inch round,tree splinter jammed completely into his fetlock joint.
