Quitt
Posted By: ajaxcdx (CANONSBURG, PA) Oct 16, 2011

Works. My horse was definitely into re-designing the edges inside his stall and when I bought and used the supplment Quitt, he stopped. Takes a little while. Now that he's run out of it, I notice the architectural changes are happening again. SO, I buy more. Apparently he needs the minerals this product provides.

No chewing!
Posted By: joharder (N FT MYERS, FL) Sep 26, 2005

When I built my barn last year, I tried Quitt as well as a cinnamon flavored brush-on because I didn't want the boards to get chewed. Although Farnam says that it takes only a week for the horses to stop chewing, I think that it took more like about two weeks (they did chew on some trees in that extra week). Nonetheless, once the horses get the nutrients that are in Quitt, they're not interested in chewing boards, trees, or any other wood. I strongly recommend this product, but make sure you allot a little extra time. And, don't waste your time and money on a brush-on because it isn't necessary!

Quitt Works
Posted By: donaggie (LAWTON, OK) May 1, 2005

My 5-year old Quarter horse, Okie, was called "buckey beaver" by my riding partner. Quitt had him off the corral rails and trees in no time. He's on a mix of alfalfa and grass hay most of the year so it's important that they are palatable. Okie will eat them without having to pour them over oats, since oats upset his stomach and cause him to crib.

Stopped my horse form chewing
Posted By: sheba'mom (MANHEIM, PA) Mar 25, 2005

I am very happy with Quit Chew. For now my horses are not chewing any more. I can tie them out at our wood fence and they leave it alone. No more chewing in there stalls.
