I live in Colorado so I bought the 750w.. it works great! And we had a rash of very cold --for us--temps. I could not believe how easily it converts to a submersible.. which is what I use it as.
And the clip for the cord that comes with it- is perfect.. My horses play with it a bit but it stays secure. Great innovative thinking!!!
It is also a fairly compact, attractive heater unlike the energy sucking ugly metal one I have in the horses' other water tank. That one works great too but is 1500 watts and bulky (the submersible kind with the circle/peg legs that sit on the bottom of the tank.
I highly recommend this heater over all others.. and the 750 is plenty of heat!

This De-Icer is one of the Greatest!!!!

I bought this de-icer in a 500 watt size because I only have one horse with a 20 gallon bucket. I have to say this de-icer is great. It can be used to float or sink to the bottom of the bucket. The second I placed it into the bottom of my 20 gallon bucket, it worked perfectly, keeping the water at the perfect temperature. No more need for breaking ice. I don't know how I ever lived without one. I choose this perticular De-Icer because it is the only one that has different watts/ so if you just need a lower watt than 1500 watts, it uses less electricity.
Every horse and cattle owner should own one. Makes my life alot easier. I do want to say that I will continue to order from Valley Vet. There shipping is so fast!!! They shipped out my order on the same day!! And I recieved it within 3 days even without the express shipping. Valley Vet I am now a forever customer of yours!!!! Thanks!
