It's a great bit to use when teaching bending and doing lateral work. It makes it so you can work the right or left side of the horse's mouth without bothering the other side of the horse's mouth. It helps keep your house supple and soft in its mouth. Wonderful bit, would recommend it for a horse that has graduated to a shanked bit and is working on bending and starting to really collect themsleves.
