This is one of the neatest things I've seen in a long time we run about 200 cow\calf pairs we always vaccinate, band, and tag calves at birth. We have used these calf hooks for 10 years or better. After a calf is born one person sits on the back of the bale bed on the pick up and the driver backes up to the calf even if the calf is moving pretty good it can be caught with little effort. Just snag the back leg aim for the knee but hoof usually works unless it is a small calf then you can pull the calves hind leg up till you can grab it and pull it up on the bed of the truck where you can easily work it without causing stress on you, mama, or baby! LOVE IT!
