Best thing is I have both my hands free just like when I used to tie a rope to my saddle horn, but that always worried me if I could not untie the rope fast. With this unit I can have my hands free and if I need to release my horse I can do it by just swiping my hand on the emergency release and he is away from me but I can still hold him on a long rope. I like how easy it is to use and now I don't have my shoulders or arms injured trying to hold on to him when I ride and pony him. Cool tool! Wish it were around years ago.
