Warm, comfortable, easy on/off, sturdy and gaiter-like top; performs as stall boot, plus! I hiked about 5 miles in snow on rocky hills in total comfort. Wear a midweight boot sock, as they recommend. I'm size 9 womens and ordered size 8; left boot is almost too short, but no discomfort in hiking. (I've ordered heel inserts to bring my toes back a little.)
