Much smaller than expected.

the quality of this is good, but pay attention to the dimensions... pretty small, unlike the photo which leads you to think it is considerably larger! I was taken aback when mine arrived, thinking it would be about 4 feet long - not. So I felt is was quite overpriced for the size of it. It does work but you really have to plan it's placement carefully so the animals can use it.

Better than expected

I bought the Equine Scratcher at the Equine Affaire and I have to tell you, it has worked out better than I expected. I put them in three different areas around the barn and paddock and now my horses are not breaking their tail hair or getting injured trying to relieve that itch. Even though there were others to choose from at the show, I am so glad I bought this and not the rubber one.

I purchased this for my gelding for he was scratching on the side of my run-in shed. I did not want him to hurt himself or ruin the wood, so I bought this and it has been great! It does not pull or break his mane like the different ones my friends have.
