Preg-Alert Pro for Livestock

The Preg-Alert Pro is a multi-purpose, highly versatile A-Mode ultrasonic instrument for performing tests and measurements in a wide range of animals. This device can be used to detect pregnancy in mammals ranging in size from large rabbits and foxes to cattle and horses. Included is the standard probe which may be used to detect pregnancy after 90 days gestation in cows and mares. The testing process is non-invasive, minimizing the chance of infection and disease transmission. Pregnancy detection can be done by detecting the echoes from the interface between amniotic fluid and the far side of the intrauterine wall, or by detecting the echoes from the fetus. Once a reading is obtained, the reading can be held on the screen until reset. Preg-Alert Pro can also be used to determine backfat and loin thickness. The device also features a backlit screen for easier use.
