I recently bought a Paso which included his old stop and turn "hackamore". It worked well. I bought the Paso to replace my 30 year old MFT riding partner because he, Thunder Roan, had been retired because he had cancer of the lower lip. He conquered the cancer after a year, but lost 1/2 of his lower lip and some upper. He used to be very headstrong, but I couldn't use a bit in his mouth for fear of tearing what was left of the upper left side of his lip. I thought a hackamore might work. I bought the stop and turn "bit" - which is really a hackamore to try as a last wish effort for both my treasured riding companion and me. It worked like a dream! He doesn't like it much, because I get to be the boss, but he gaits like a 5 year old. Happy to be out and useful again and as much of a cantankerous brat as ever. I can't thank the inventors of this product enough. Thunder has his old spirit back, and I have him as a new horse. Oh. He gives the Paso "what-for" every chance he gets when my husband rides him and I ride the Paso. they are such fun together. New lives all around. Is this testimonial helpful?

I use this on my mules. They respond nicely to it. It fits them well, a problem with some other hackamores with chin strapes. My mules work with a light touch with this hackamore. Is this testimonial helpful?
