I have a 22 year old barrel mare, she has arthiritis and navicular, My vet. told me about this product and said it will help her 60% then what she is now, I have had her on it faithfully for 3 months now and she is turning barrels again like she was a young horse, she also used to be very stiff after a 2 hr trail ride, and now she has more energy, and she is never stiff the next day. My mare has degenerative arthritis in one knee. She could barely flex enough for the farrier to trim her and she was lame when ridden unless you loaded her with bute. After 5 weeks on Gluquestrian, she has about 60% flexibility back. She used to refuse to walk up the slope in our pasture - now she runs up and down it on her own. We started light trail riding again and she has not shown any pain or lameness and her energy is back. I have not had to bute her for riding or the farrier. She acts like she used to act before the arthritis started -ready to go again! I'm am very pleased with this product. I would suggest that the manufacturer print directions on the product instructing users to split the dosage morning and night to get the most absorption and best benefit of the supplement. I bought an ex-race horse in Oct of 2005. He was such a sweetheart but I was taking a big gamble because his front fetlocks were not only fused, but they were massively enlarged from arthritis. My vet said I shouldn't buy him, that their was no way he would ever be sound enough to play in his paddock, let alone be ridden. Most horses' bulb of their heel can com within 1/2 an inch of touching their ergot. That’s normal flexion...I couldn't even BEGIN to flex his ankle. That’s how bad it was. However, because of his big heart he walked with his ears up and acted like a normal horse...I knew he was worth everything! I looked around and found this product. I liked everything about and after 2 weeks of use, "Peyton" was flexing a little and his enlarged fetlocks weren’t so englarged!! Now after 2 1/2 months of being on Gluquestrian, I can walk/trot/canter and ride him for hours without him pulling up, favoring and his ears are forward the whole time. His right fetlock is just about normal sized now and his left, which was the worst of the two, is barely enlarged now!
