FerAppease Swine

FerAppease contains an analogue of the natural Maternal Swine Apeasing Substance (MSAS). MSAS is secreted by the sebaceous glands located on the skin of the mammary gland with the unique function of inducing an appeasing effect on the nursing offspring. The use of MSAS analogue before animals are exposed to stressful events like weaning, castration, and transport reduce the levels of cortisol, inflammatory markers, and body weight loss associated with these stressful but required management practices and life-cycle events. Apply FerAppease topically to healthy pigs on the skin above the muzzle and forehead prior to stressful management practices. Dosage rate: piglets 3 ml, adult pigs 10 ml. FerAppease is not a drug and does not require a slaughter withdrawal period. Purchase FerAppease Swine applicator separately.
