Dual function tool used to check electic fence voltages and locate fence line faults. Hand-held unit allows you to quickly move down your fence line, comparing voltage and current readings as you go, to locate short circuits and faults on your fence. A significant change in current ampere readings between one point and the next indicates the presence of a fault between these two points. Unit can be used with or without sound setting, which rises in pitch with the magnitude of the current pulse. Does not require an earth leader. 1-year warranty.

      Bought this a few weeks ago after my other tester seemed to behave a little crazy. It was 15 years old. I liked the old one very much, it was easy to read and fairly accurate. It was not inexpensive. This one seems to be "overkill" for my purposes but it is super easy to read, I like the absence of the ground wire. The hot wire slot does not work with my 1 1/2 inch tape fence but the pointer tip does. I haven't found a fault with it yet and I don't know that I had one before I ordered it. I'm going on trust based on the other reviews and keeping it.

      My husband uses this, and loves it. We got one for a neighbor who has helped us a lot this year. He had been using a hammer to test his fence. He was very excited to get it.

      This is the second Tru test Digital fault finder I have purchased. We have miles of electric fence, and this saves much time in finding where the shorts are that inevitably occur. It is used daily, and is a product I can't be without!

      In the world of farming there is no time to waste.  This tool actually works like it should and saves you valuable time when trouble shooting fences.  Forget the cheap generic fence testers you plug into the ground and can barely see the lights on.  Well built and a great addition to my farm.  Also the best price around and trust me I looked hard.

      FIrst real fence tester I have owned.  It was finally time to upgrade from the cheap 'bulb' voltage indicators which are hard to see and don't indicate voltage level.  Works great in direct sunlight and really simplifies the fault finding process.  Nice to know the exact voltage your charger is putting out on every line.  Super simple to use and no need for ground probe!
