      I've been using the screw on bottles for awhile now and they do leak if you cross-thread them. But there is a solution: only tighten them enough to barely keep the lids on. If you've centered the nipple on top of the bottle, they won't leak. When you over-tighten them is when they cross thread. Otherwise, this is a good bottle. I much prefer to screw them on than stretching the hard rubber.

      These bottles are hit and miss in quality. Some have been good and last a long time, others collapse when the calf is nursing and split. I've played with all types of nipples and I still get the same hit and miss quality. That said I still have not found a bottle that stands out above the rest so I will probably keep buying this product.

      I bought 11 of these the first the this year. It is the single worst purchase I have made. They leak, you can check them when you fill them and the still may leak when they are put in a holder. They are made so cheap there is very little threading to hold the cap on the bottle. A 2 week old calf sucking the the bottle can pull the top right off - losing the contents all over the floor ! Milk re-placer is too expensive to have waste caused by a cheap product. When I complained to ValleyVet, I got the run around. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. E Z Nurse bottle work well Buy Them !!

      After the calf drinks half of the bottle the ring on the bottle pop Off and all of the milk runs Out you all need better rings on the bottle

      The breather hole needs to be made all the way through the rubber. Otherwise works well.
