Low Port Weymouth Horse Bit

Complete your double bridle with the Horze Low Port Weymouth Bit for precise control. Offering a traditional low port mouthpiece, this Weymouth bit does not exert palate pressure, but does prohibit the tongue from changing the effect of the curb bit. The Weymouth provides little lateral control, but applies leverage to encourage the horse to bend at the poll. Legal for use in upper-level dressage classes. This bit should be used in conjunction with a bradoon bit to create a full bridle. Stainless steel. Thickness: 13mm.

When measuring the bit size, always measure the length from the inside of one bit ring (or cheek) to the inside of the opposite one. Make sure the bit is straightened. The thickness of the bit is always measured just inside the bit ring. When placed in the horse's mouth, there should be maximum of 5mm (1/4") play on either side of the bit.
