    • Approved for use on beef and dairy cattle, including calves and lactating dairy cows. Use 1 tag to control most strains of horn flies for up to 4 months and pyrethroid-susceptible strains of horn flies up to 5 months. Aids in the control of face flies, stable flies and house flies up to 4 months. Controls biting lice and aids in the control of sucking lice for up to 3 months. Use the Y-Tex UltraTagger to apply. Ear damage may result if used in calves less than 3 months of age. 15 grams.

      I use these in rotation with the XP820 and Warrior tags on my cows in Central FL. We have flies year round. I switch out every 4-5 months. Seem to lose total effectiveness around month 4. Ultimately keep the cows' minds off of flies and on eating. Have not had any issues with tags coming off in the 4-5 month time frame.

      We purchased 100 of these fly tags and while we haven't had a chance to prove the performance, we almost didn't get them on the cow. The pin tips kept breaking and we ended up using all of our ID tag backs on the fly tags just to get them installed. We used two different tagging devices but it made no difference. Once we switched to the yellow backs of our ID tags....no problem and cows weren't near as agitated. I wouldn't recommend until they improve the backs.

      We have been using the python series for several years now . We have friends who also have cattle who do not use Python. They have more significant fly problems that we notice our cattle. There is an obvious difference in the product we will remain a user of the python series.

      I was disappointed in the performance of these tags. I have been happy with other Y-Tex products but these did not work well for me from day one. They failed to adequately control horn flies in particular.

      I ordered vaccine and fly ear tags for my cattle going to pasture this year as in years past and got what i needed and got it shipped to me fast. Love the selection of products and the pricing. I also like the sales that Valley Vet has and they seem to come around about the time that I need the product which save me some money. I like the on-line shopping and plan to keep shopping here for future cattle needs.
