EasyShoe Impression Material

EasyShoe Impression Material from EasyCare can be used to add support to the bottom of a horse's hoof between the sole and the shoe or to protect a tender sole. It is commonly referred to as DIM (Dental Impression Material) and consists of 2 parts which are mixed together to form a putty material that is similar to the frog density. Directions: Take the 2 parts in equal amounts and mix them together until the color is completely blended. Apply a thrush preventative. (You can also mix Copper Sulfate with your DIM to prevent bacteria growth.) Apply DIM to the sole as needed. Slide the shoe onto the hoof. Put the hoof down and let the horse bear weight to squeeze out excess impression material. Remove any excess DIM.
