Eazi-Breed CIDR Sheep Inserts contain the natural hormone progesterone and used to induce estrus in ewes. Allows you to induce fertile estrus and breed ewes outside the natural breeding season, when ewes do not normally have an estrous cycle.

    • Eazi-Breed CIDR Sheep Inserts can be used to improve the timing and efficiency of breeding and to manage lamb production in order to take advantage of peak market prices. Inserts are administered intravaginally, one per animal, and left in place for 5 days. After removing insert, estrus generally occurs within 1 to 3 days. Use standard breeding procedures to breed ewes at induced estrus. Applicator sold separately.

      I purchased this product after preparing 6 healthy ewes for breeding by following all of the instructions included with the product exactly. Inserted correctly, left in place exactly 5 days per instructions, removed, introduced 1 ram per each 3 ewes. One ewe got bred the second day, has now been 9 days nothing else has happened. I have since read some different reviews for this product, and hope if I follow other peoples instructions that have had good luck, and not the instructions that the manufacturer suggests, maybe it will work. Was planning on using it on 17 more ewes.

      I purchased the Eazi-Breed Cidr this year. They worked great. Out of 20 ewes. 18 ewes were bred and settled on first breeding. The 2 that did not were pulled before I introduced the ram. The rest came in fine. varied coming in heat 24 hr. -36 hr. Will be using this product again!!!
