      I bought this for a horse that has foundered and is getting sore ankles from laying down. It has relieved his sores and stays in place. And they wash great, just be sure to Velcro them before you wash them.

      I bought these boots to help heal some sores on my mare's fetlocks. I have been using the boots for a few weeks and the sores are starting to heal. The boots stay in position surprisingly well and they don't seem to bother the horse.

      This is the only thing that is helping my girl with her horrible fetlock sores. She doesn't care about them or bother them at all. However, if you already have scabs or open sores, you will also have to put wrap underneath. My girl's scabs opened up one night and then the fleece inside the boot dried into the wound. So when the boots came off so did the scab. Now I wrap gauze pad over the wound and then put the boots over the wrap and that is working great. She seems to be healing after having sores for 4 months.

      I bought these on 06/18/13, first couple of weeks they worked fine. However with constant use my horse developed sores across the tendons where the top Velcro strap would sit.

      The boots are working great. My horse is on hard Arizona ground when it's dry so when he goes down and hits the front of his legs the hair is not enough to protect the skin. I've been using vet wrap and that was a hassle. These are easy to put on and take off.

      Boots fit well, easy to put on, do not chafe and meet primary goal of preventing bed sores. Velcro straps very long, needed to cut off extra. Boots can twist but seem to hold pretty well if I get the tension right on the straps. Would prefer straps to end on outside of boot going back (the way I was taught to do a standing wrap) but honestly I can't see an easy way to do that.
