Baucher Horse Bit

Offering a steady and solid in mouth feel, the Horze Baucher Bit is ideal for horses that require a consistent bit feel. This bit offers a very stable feel in the horse's mouth. Although the Baucher bit is often mistaken for a curb bit, this bit does not exert poll pressure as there is no pivot point and no leverage. The cheek pieces attach to the smaller rings on the top of the bit, while the reins attach to the larger rings at the mouthpiece. The single-jointed mouthpiece exerts pressure on the tongue and bars when the reins are pulled back. Stainless steel. Thickness: 13mm.

When measuring the bit size, always measure the length from the inside of one bit ring (or cheek) to the inside of the opposite one. Make sure the bit is straightened. The thickness of the bit is always measured just inside the bit ring. When placed in the horse’s mouth, there should be maximum of 5mm (1/4”) play on either side of the bit.
