      My 3 tiny chihuahuas love these chews. They break down for them so I don't worry about choking!

      My vet had recommended CET Hextra chews for my small breed dogs that had a tendency toward tartar build-up and bad breath. After using these chews as special treats a few times a week over the course of the last 6 months, the condition of my dogs teeth and gums has improved and their breath is no longer intolerable. I still brush teeth, but now the chews are a normal part of hygiene and grooming time.

      This is the second time I've ordered this product through Valley Vet Supply. It's an excellent product which I have used for years, but Valley Vet has the best pricing I've found anywhere. With three dogs, the price of something I give them every day is extremely important.

      My dogs LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these chews!!  My only complaint is that in almost every bag (I buy the extra large chews for dogs over 50 lbs.) there are a bunch of flimsy small chews.  My dogs could choke on (as in swallow whole!) the small ones so I always throw out a bunch.  Sometimes it's 5 or 6, but sometimes it's a dozen or more in 1 bag!!  It makes me so mad!!  They should ALL be about the same size!!  Afterall, I am paying a premium for EXTRA LARGE CHEWS!!  I wish the manufacturer would address this!!!  It is for that reason alone I do not recommend this product and also only give it a FAIR rating overall.  It would be EXCELLENT if I got all extra large chews in a bag!!

      My dogs absolutely LOVE these chews!! All I have to do is say "chewy bone" and all three start dancing around and making strange howling noises. I do have a complaint though: The chews in the bag are not consistent in size...at all!! I always order the extra large chews for dogs 50-100lbs. Always, at least 1/3 of the bag I have to discard (or give away to friends with small dogs) because they are too small and flimsy!! I am afraid my dogs will just try to swallow them, and could choke on them. The ones that are the extra large size are great!! I understand that the bag is sold by weight. However I would appreciate it if the manufacturer fill the bags 90% with the extra large ones, and then just throw in a couple that are smaller to get to the exact weight. Every time I open a new bag I swear to myself to never buy these again...but then I see how much the dogs enjoy them and I keep buying more. I wish the manufacturer would address this!!!

      My veterinarian recommended these chews for my 11-yr old min pin, who has tartar-prone teeth and less than desirable breath. He loves them and I have noticed that tartar has not built up on his teeth since his last cleaning as it normally would and his breath is not offensive at all. I was able to purchase these chews for 2/3 the price that I paid at my vet's office. I break the chews in half, so actually get 60 "treats" rather than 30. Will continue to purchase these from Valley Vet!
