Gamgee Highly Absorbent Padding

I bought 4 rolls of thus wrap and I want to say that I have been very happy with it. It's very durable, thick and overall has a void price point.

I've used this product for years - since long before you could get it in vet supply stores. It is a necessity for those lower leg wounds that have to be wrapped for weeks. I think this product helps to protect the tendons during all that wrapping. I know it saves me time compared to wrapping with that awful cotton we used to use. Most importantly, it provides additional absorption between the wound and the vet wrap thereby helping to reduce your risk of infection. It's great stuff and Valley Vet is generally the cheapest option I can find.

We have been using the padding as a dressing for a wound on my horse's knee along with 3" sensi-wrap. The wound is staying clean and dry through this long wet season. There is some slippage because of where the wound is at, but this padding keeps the wound covered, through my horse's running through puddles, rolling in the mud and general movement. The 12" padding wasn't quite enough for the movement and would slip down and expose the top of the wound. We change the pads every 48 hours.

This wrap is great! Really absorbs and draws fluids away from the wound. Unlike other wraps that are loaded with cotton, this wrap doesn't stick to the injured area and is easy to cut when you need a shorter piece.
