The Cap-Chur dart gun is a mid-range cartridge fired pistol made from stainless steel. The stainless steel barrel resists the corrosive properties of some antibiotics. This dart gun for cattle and other animals uses Cap-Chur approved .22 blank power loads to propel medicated syringes, allowing you to treat or immobilize animals safely in the field or feedlot. The power loads maintain consistent propellant force from one use to the next. The Cap-Chur Mid-Range Pistol is effective from approximately 5-25 yards, depending on the power load strength and the size of the syringe used. Using the patented Cap-Chur syringe, you can propel 1 to 20 cc's of vaccine or medication to an animal, causing the syringe to inject its contents on contact. After injecting, the syringe stays in place for a short time before falling out. Comes with practice dart. Requires Cap-Chur approved .22 power loads (40719, 40720) and Cap-Chur syringes with needles (all sold separately).
To load the power load, simply depress the breaching lever, allowing access to the blank adaptor. Insert approved blank .22 power load (40719, 40720), making sure notch and pin are aligned. Close the barrel and proceed with firing the syringe. Once complete, depress the breach lever again. Pull back on the blank adaptor and rotate, allowing the power load case to be removed.
