SMZ-Med 454 Sodium Sulfamethazine Soluble Powder for Livestock

SMZ-Med 454 Soluble Powder contains 100% sodium sulfamethazine for the control of shipping fever, pneumonia, calf diphtheria, foot rot, bacterial scours, and acute metritis in cattle. Can be added to the drinking water or given as an oral drench for up to 4 days. Prepare a 12% stock solution by adding one packet SMZ-Med 454 to one gallon water. Day 1: give 3 oz. prepared solution per 100 lbs. body weight. Days 2-4: give 1 1/2 oz. prepared solution per 100 lbs. body weight. (Each pint of prepared solution treats approximately 500 lbs. on Day 1, or approximately 1000 lbs. on Days 2, 3, or 4.) Each packet treats approximately eight-500 lb. animals on Day 1, or approximately sixteen-500 lb. animals on Days 2, 3, or 4. Also labeled for use in swine, chickens, and turkeys.
