Feed-Thru Fly Control

Simplifly with Larvastop Feed-Thru Fly Control is a highly palatable feed additive to prevent the development of stable flies and houseflies in the manure of treated horses. Larvastop, containing fly growth regulator Dimilin, breaks the fly life cycle by preventing the formation of fly larvae's exoskeletons when they molt (resulting in their death).

    • Reduces fly populations by 97-100%. Start feeding in spring before flies begin to appear. Active ingredient Diflubenzuron. Contains no organophosphates and can be used as part of an integrated pest management program.

      Feeding Directions:
      300-500 lb. horse, pony or miniature horse: feed 2/5 oz. per day.
      500-700 lb. horse or pony: feed 3/5 oz. per day.
      700-900 lb. horse: feed 4/5 oz. per day.
      900-1100 lb. horse: feed 1 oz. per day.
      1100-1300 lb. horse: feed 1 1/5 oz. per day.
      For horses over 1300 lb. or draft horses: feed an additional 1/5 oz. for each additional 200 lbs. of body weight. Not for use in pregnant mares or stallions.

      This is our third bucket of Simplifly and we are more pleased with the product all the time. We do see a reduction in flies in our corrals and we clean the corrals daily.

      I started using Simplifly about a month before the warmer weather started and we have very few flies . The horses/pastures are close to the house so it is imperative that we keep the fly population down and this has done the trick! The horses are very happy too

      I've used this product for years. I live on a small property with multiple horses. Reducing the flies' ability to reproduce in the manure has kept the fly population totally under control saving a fortune in fly sprays, wipes and a multitude of reactive products.

      have a million flies from who knows . only just recently moved horse to my yard. nearest other manure is over 1/2 mile away but I don't know if they feed larvastop -no results. only been 2 weeks. there are still millions.will update review if any improvement

      Had never used fly control through feeding and was a little skeptical. This product worked almost instantly, with three horses I have very few flies if any. Easy to use and a lot more convenient than using topical sprays. My mares are more relaxed because they are not fighting off flies.

      When we first bought Simplifly we had a lot of flies biting the horses & us. They were so aggravating. It took about 3 weeks after we started using Simplifly for all the flies we had to die but once they were gone no more hatched from the manure. There are animals on either side of our 10 acres but apparently flies don't travel very far because we don't get many from their animals. We use Simplifly all the time. It's so nice to be able to enjoy our horses without fighting the flies or having to put fly masks & sheets on the horses all the time. And, it's so nice that the horses aren't constantly battling the biting flies all the time. It just makes a much nicer life for everyone.

      Have been using this product for about three years. Earlier this year, I switched to another product, and the fly population boomed. I switched back to Simplifly, and within a few days, the population was way down, and now is very controllable. Like the other reviewer wrote, I only have to spray my horses once a week or so, as opposed to every day.

      My property borders a pasture with cows and another with horses that are not treated with anything, so flies were a huge problem for my 2 horses. I began using SimplyFly last summer and saw a tremendous improvement. My horses are no longer kicking, swishing their tails and kicking at themselves like they were prior to feeding this product. Because of the other pastures, I do have some flies that make their way to my property, but they are very few. I may mist my horses 1x each week with fly spray, but have to use very little and much less often than before. Much safer for the horses than having to use chemicals on them all the time to control flies.

      Having  tried many of the other fly control product and not having them work I was not sure what to expect, but I found it took care of the large flies ,still had some of the smaller ones but a vast improvement . GREAT PRODUCT !!! This is the second year for using this product.
